Los últimos días is a Spanish film of science fiction which premiered in Spain on March 27 of 2013. In his first week on the charts has achieved the third position of income around 800,000 euros.

The film takes place during the year 2013 in the city of Barcelona, with an apocalyptic image of this city. All humanity is trapped inside buildings and no one knows why. It is impossible to go outside and then starts a battle for survival that will mark the future of humanity. The protagonist is Marc trying to find Julia, his girlfriend that is disappeared.

The reviews seem pretty favorable. Some people warns that the film lacks something to be perfect, but they say that manages to capture the audience and entertains so it is a quite good thing. Mostly of them defend the superb performances of the actors like José Coronado. They also say it's the best Spanish film of science fiction lately. We also find negative reviews of the most demanding who say it lacks a bit of action and less drama.

The Host

The Host is the new movie based on a book by Stephanie Meyer, author of the Twilight saga. Obviously the film comes from the United States and was released on March 22 of 2013. Despite the large number of fans of Stephanie, the film has not achieved the expected data in the Spanish cinemas. Currently relegated to fourth place, but last week was on the second. He has received around 570,000 euros on our screens.

In the film, our world has been invaded by an unknown enemy. Humans have become guests of the invaders who have taken over their minds keeping the body intact.

It tells the story of Melanie, one of the only human who has not been owned and Wanderer, a soul who has to invade her mind. But to Wanderer is very difficult to dominate Melanie and begins an adventure in which, Melanie and Wanderer create a dangerous alliance to go after the man they love.

The reviews emphasize the failure at the screens, compared with the Twilight saga. For fans of science fiction films consider it a very "light" movie that does not quite convince. However, there is a general approval of the actors and despite of the income obtained both detractors and supporters considered The Host of higher quality than Twilight.

The Croods

The Croods is an American film of animation that takes place in Prehistory. The world premiere was on March 22 of 2013 and in Spain has managed to become the highest grossing film this week with more than two millions euros of revenue.

The film belongs to Dreamworks SKG and 20th Century Fox seal. It is an adventure comedy for children. The movie is about a journey that takes the first modern family in history. The cave in which they have always lived is completely destroyed and this forces them to take a trip. In the movie we will watch the thrilling adventures of the Croods with a lot of new creatures and earthquakes.

Most of the reviews are favorable to the realization of Dreamworks. Some people describe it as "as good as The Incredibles". That is because is also a family with a problem. They also emphasize the quality of the characters, each one with a special touch.

The film will make you laugh and even make you drop a tear. You shouldn't miss it!

This week this post is about "Los Amantes Pasajeros", the new film of Pedro Almodóvar. The film takes place in a plane to Mexico City. During the flight, a serious breakdown causes panic on the passengers and they think that they are going to die. So they reveal the most intimate affairs of their life.

Despite of being a film directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the opinions about the movie have not been very good. The intention of the director and screenwriter from Castilla-La Mancha was to return to his roots with this film and also capture the current situation in Spain. This is very difficult for Almodóvar after having been twenty years doing other kind of movies, in the jet-set.

On the one hand, some of the reviews said that the comedy bordered on the ridiculous and it is so absurd, manufactured for the large audience. They say that the idea is not very original and the viewer might have the feeling of having seen something like this before and done better.

On the other hand, positive reviews consider it a good movie for evasion of the times that Spain is living and also quite accurately reflects the situation in the country.
